Telangana Train Services Suspended: It is known that Telangana is experiencing heavy rains. Especially in North Telangana, the rains are overwhelming. The rains that have lashed Karimnagar, Medak and Adilabad districts have damaged roads as well as railway tracks.
Due to heavy rains in the last 24 hours, many areas in Telangana have been flooded. Villages and towns have been inundated. Roads as well as railway lines have been damaged. Keeping in mind the safety of passengers, the Railways has cancelled several trains and temporarily suspended services on some routes.
* 17003 – Kazipet to Sirpur Town
* 17004, 17035, 17036 – Ballarsha to Kazipet
* 77631 to 77638 – Bidar to Kalaburagi local services
* 17035, 17036 – Kazipet to Balarshah
* 67771, 67772 – Sirpur Town to Karimnagar
* 67773, 67774 – Karimnagar to Bodhan
Due to the impact of the floods, some trains were not completely canceled, but only stopped for a specific route. The main ones are:
* 17033 – Train from Bhadrachalam to Ballarshah has been cancelled between Kazipet-Ballarshah.
* 17034 – The train from Sirpur Town to Bhadrachalam was stopped between Sirpur Town and Kazipet.
* 17233, 17234 – Secunderabad-Sirpur Kajjnagar trains are temporarily cancelled between Kazipet-Sirpur Kajjnagar.
Officials advise that passengers should check the train schedule before travelling and get the latest information through the IRCTC website or the Railway Helpline. The Railways has clarified that if the journey is cancelled for tickets already booked, a full refund will be provided.
Engineering teams are working to restore tracks damaged by heavy rains. Railway officials said that efforts will be made to restore train services as soon as the water recedes.
