United Airlines: On June 3, 2025, United Airlines is enacting an updated check-in policy for domestic flights, hoping to curb last-minute boarding and delays as travel ramps up for summer.
The check-in deadline for international routes is still 60 minutes before departure. Travelers departing abroad must still respect that timing in order to have a smooth boarding process.
The policy change occurs at a time of increased demand for air travel, in particular, during the holiday season like Memorial Day Weekend, when U.S. air passengers reached 3.61 Million, a 12% increase from pre-pandemic numbers.
