AP’s Big Vision for 2025:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has announced a bold plan to boost the state’s economy. He has set a revenue target of Rs 1.34 lakh crore for the year 2025. In a high-level review meeting with officials in Amaravati, the CM emphasized the importance of strategic planning and deep analysis to increase the state’s income.
Chandrababu Naidu highlighted that Andhra Pradesh, though ranked high in literacy, must now become a leader in development. To achieve this, the government is focusing on setting up new industries across different regions. He also stressed the urgent need to build the state’s capital, Amaravati, since Andhra Pradesh is the only state without a full-fledged capital.
To reach the new revenue goal, the CM urged officials to use technology to prevent tax evasion and improve collection efficiency. He proposed forming a committee to oversee the international sale of red sandalwood and called for strict measures to stop illegal liquor trade from neighboring states.
CM Naidu pointed out that even though Andhra Pradesh is among the top states in gold purchases, it does not reflect in tax revenues. He directed officials to look into this issue seriously. He also expressed concern over low RTC (Road Transport Corporation) revenues compared to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and said the gap left by Hyderabad must be filled with strong reforms.
Meanwhile, Minister Nara Lokesh reviewed the IT, Electronics, and RTGS departments. He revealed that 91 major companies are ready to invest in Andhra Pradesh. The state government aims to create 5 lakh jobs in these sectors. He directed the appointment of a nodal officer for each company and called for fast-tracking the setup of industrial units.
Lokesh also mentioned that by the end of May, 400 services will be available through the “Mana Mitra” platform. All government apps and orders will soon be accessible through a single platform.
These steps show the government’s commitment to economic growth, job creation, and digital transformation in Andhra Pradesh.
