Ahmedabad Air India Crash: The tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on the 12th of this month left 274 people dead. The incident occurred when an Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed seconds after takeoff. Out of the 242 people on board, 241 died in the incident. Some more people died at the BJ Medical College where the plane crashed. However, there are many speculations about how the plane crashed. It is initially believed that the accident occurred due to the failure of two engines simultaneously. The Central Civil Aviation Authority, which considered this plane accident as serious, has deployed two investigation agencies to find out the causes of the accident. With this, the investigating officers are continuing the investigation intensively.
However, the investigation agencies suspect that the main reason for the crash of this Air India plane was an electrical failure. It is believed that the plane crashed due to a power outage. However, eyewitnesses have recently revealed the same thing. Eyewitnesses said that the lights were turning on and off as the plane was crashing, and that an unusual noise was heard. This led investigators to initially believe that the plane may have crashed after experiencing an electrical problem.
The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that crashed is believed to have suffered a major electrical failure, which is believed to have caused the loud crash. After examining eyewitness accounts, statements from Air Traffic Control (ATC), and the wreckage, the investigation agencies have reached a conclusion through preliminary tests. Sources said that there were signs of an electrical failure on the plane, which immediately led to a loss of communication with ATC. They also said that there were problems with the electrical system at the wreckage. People in the area said that lights were flashing and unusual sounds were heard as the plane suddenly lost altitude and descended.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is investigating the accident. On the other hand, a panel headed by the Union Home Secretary is also conducting an investigation. It is said that the pilot made a Mayday call shortly after the plane took off, but it seems that the connection with the ATC had already been cut. The investigating agencies believe that the cause of all this was an electrical problem. But while the investigation is still ongoing, it has been found that the black box was badly damaged. Arrangements are being made to send the black box to the US to collect information from it. They have to get permission from the Center.
