But now, the benefit will apply regardless of where the soldier is serving — whether in India or abroad. If the soldier’s family lives in Andhra Pradesh, their house will be eligible for this benefit.

The decision was taken based on the recommendation of the Director of Sainik Welfare. Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan said that this is a small step to express gratitude to those who protect the country. He added that helping their families by reducing tax burden is the least society can do.
