The application process for ration cards is going on in full swing in Andhra Pradesh. A huge number of applications are coming for ration cards. They are applying for new cards, card splitting, and new member additions. However, due to the high traffic, the servers are getting busy. Due to this, the government has taken a key decision. Ration card services have also been made available on WhatsApp. These services have been made available from Saturday. To get ration card services on WhatsApp, send a message saying Hi to the number 9552300009.
But this is not a new number. It is the Manamitra (WhatsApp Governance) service brought by the AP government. Ration card services will now also be available in it. Through this, it will be possible to make changes to the ration card and apply for other services. However, although it has 8 types of services, there is no option to apply for the important new ration card. Due to this, applicants are expressing extreme dissatisfaction. Even if ration card services are available on WhatsApp, but to apply for a new card, you will have to go to the secretariats.
*First, you need to go to the ‘Manamitra’ WhatsApp chat on your mobile phone.
*If you send a message saying ‘Hi’, you will be prompted to select a service.
*Clicking on it will bring up a box saying “Select Civil Service”.
*In it, click on the Civil Supplies Services option.
*There are 8 types of services available here.
*These include lamp status, ration draw status, ration eKYC status, ration card submission, adding and removing members from the ration card, correcting incorrect details, and ration card split application options.
*You need to select the service you want from these.
*After that, you can apply through WhatsApp by entering the required details.
It is known that the Andhra Pradesh government has been accepting applications for new ration cards and other services at village and ward secretariats from the 7th of this month. Due to the large number of applications received, there is a significant delay in making them online due to servers going down and other issues.
