Andhra Woman Suicide: According to a police officer, a 38-year-old doctor from the Guntur region of Andhra Pradesh committed suicide in her Hyderabad apartment because she was depressed about not being granted a US visa. Rohini, the dead, lived alone in Padma Rao Nagar.
On November 22, the incident was discovered after her relatives, who were living in a different part of the city, smashed through the door. The police claim that after the domestic helper failed to open the door, she notified the deceased’s family. Following the postmortem, the body was given to the relatives.
Suicide Note Found: Written under Depression
As per the police reports, a suicide note was found in the doctor’s house, and it is also said that the note was written under depression. It is clarified that the reason behind the death is due to a US Visa rejection. Lakshmi, Rohini’s mother, claimed that her daughter had long dreamed of pursuing a career in medicine in the US and was extremely upset when her visa was denied. Rohini, a Kyrgyz MBBS graduate from 2005 to 2010, was characterized as an exceptional student who desired to focus on internal medicine.

She finished her MBBS in Kyrgyzstan between 2005 and 2010 and was an excellent student. Lakshmi told the media that she has a stellar academic record and ambitious goals for the future. Lakshmi claimed that she suggested Rohini remain in India and continue practicing medicine, but her daughter objected, claiming that the US had more patients per day and better pay.
According to her mother, Rohini’s battle with melancholy and sadness had gotten worse in recent weeks as she waited for her visa to be approved, which never happened, leaving her alone and mentally worn out. Lakshmi continued, “Rohini didn’t get married and had dedicated herself entirely to her medical career.” Chilkalguda Police have opened a case in the interim.
