Another Accident on Kantara Set: Rishab Shetty& Crew Escape Sinking Boat

Accident on Kantara Set: A boat capsized during the shooting of Kannada film ‘Kanthara: Chapter 1’. The film’s lead actor and director Rishabh Shetty and 30 others were on the boat, but everyone miraculously survived.

The accident occurred on Saturday in a lake near Melina. The accident occurred in a shallow part of the lake, which reportedly helped avert a major disaster.
Theerthahalli police have reached the spot and inspected the scene.

Further investigation into the accident is underway. Police say that the rescue operation was carried out by the people on the set. At the same time, the report also indicates that the camera and some shooting related equipment fell into the water of the lake.


 

The shooting of ‘Kanthara: Chapter 1’ is progressing in Udupi and nearby areas. However, some untoward incidents have been reported in connection with the production of this film before.In May, junior artist M.F. Kapil drowned, which led to the temporary halt in the shooting.

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is being made as a prequel to Rishab Shetty’s popular film ‘Kanthara’. There is no clear information about whether the shooting has been temporarily halted due to the accident. It is reported that the shooting is progressing at a rapid pace with a view to the film’s global release on October 2. Kantara Chapter 1 is being produced by Home Ballet Films, which has produced pan-Indian films like KGF. Malayalam actor Jayaram is playing the lead role in the film.
