AP Weather Update: Heatwave Grips State with 43°C+ Temperature

AP Weather Update : Andhra Pradesh has challenging heat conditions with temperatures rising sharply. March has already witnessed record-breaking heat which makes it difficult for people to step outside. The scorching sun and rising humidity levels are causing severe discomfort across the state.


On Saturday, temperatures recorded a high of 43°C in multiple districts. Prakasam district’s Tatichetla and YSR district’s Kamalapur have recorded 42.6°C. Nandyal’s Alamuru reached 42.5°C, while Tirupati’s Venkatagiri hit 42.2°C. Several other districts reported temperatures above 41°C, indicating an intense heatwave situation.

AP Weather Update :

As per reports,181 locations in Andhra Pradesh have recorded temperatures above 40°C on friday. Heat wave conditions were severe in 15 mandals.While 90 mandals experienced strong hot winds.


Saturday saw even higher temperatures, with Atloor in YSR district reaching 43.7°C. Rudravaram in Nandyal and Peddaraveedu in Prakasam district recorded 43.5°C. Several other places, including Ulindakonda in Kurnool, reported temperatures exceeding 42°C. Officials confirmed that 96 locations recorded temperatures above 41°C, while 27 mandals faced severe heatwave conditions.

Weather experts predict that heat waves will continue in Andhra Pradesh. Severe heat waves are expected in Chintur mandal of Alluri Sitarama Raju district on sunday.A total of 126 mandals, including those in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, East Godavari and Palnadu are likely to experience strong hot winds. Officials have warned that Monday will also see heat wave conditions in some mandals.

Precautions Against Heatwave:

– You cover the head with a cap or scarf when stepping outside.

– You should use an umbrella for protection from direct sunlight.

– Avoid exposure to hot winds to prevent heatstroke.

– Individuals with heart conditions, diabete or high blood pressure should avoid outdoor activities.

– Avoid strenuous work under the sun to prevent dehydration and exhaustion.

Weather Update :

Andhra Pradesh residents are advised to take necessary precautions as extreme heat conditions persist. Authorities have suggested people to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak hours.
