AP Weather Update: IMD Issues District-Wise Alert

Ap Weather Update:Andhra Pradesh  experience extreme weather this week. Many districts experience too hot conditions during the day and sudden thunderstorms in the evening. This combination of heat and rain is causing problems for people, farmers and traders.

AP Weather Update:

Several places in Andhra Pradesh recorded very high temperatures on monday. Pasupula in Nandyal district recorded a temperature of 42.5°C. Jammalamadugu in YSR district reached 42.4°C. Ravipadu in Palnadu saw 42.1°C. Kalugotla in Kurnool recorded 41.8°C. Officials expect similar heat on Tuesday and possibly through the week.

Weather experts say these changes are due to shifting wind patterns and seasonal transitions. Heatwaves are building up in interior districts while coastal and northern areas receive sudden rain due to moisture from the Bay of Bengal.

Some districts may also see strong winds blowing at speeds between 50 and 60 kilometers per hour. These winds will cause damage to trees, electric poles, banners and old buildings.

Districts such as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Anakapalli, Palnadu and Prakasam may receive moderate to heavy rains with thunder and lightning. Local flooding is possible in low lying areas.

Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Konaseema, East and West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Nellore, Kurnool, Nandyal, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor and Tirupati districts may get light to moderate showers with lightning in some places.

The weather department has warned people to stay alert. Avoid going out during high wind hours. Stay away from trees, old buildings and open fields.

Farmers should take precautions to protect crops and grains. Sudden showers have already damaged paddy grains left to dry in market yards. Traders report losses due to unexpected rainfall during peak harvest season.

Traffic disruptions were seen in some towns due to waterlogging. Power cuts were reported in a few areas due to fallen trees and electric wires. Authorities are on alert to handle emergencies and monitor updates.

It is suggested that school children, elderly people and workers who are exposed to the sun stay hydrated and take breaks to avoid heatstroke. Wearing cotton clothes and avoiding outdoor work during peak heat hours is also recommended.
