Bangkok Earthquake: Viral Video Shows Swimming Pool Water Wild

Bangkok Earthquake: A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake hadbstruck Myanmar and Thailand by causing panic and destruction. In Bangkok, dramatic videos surfaced on social media, showing the impact of the tremors. One widely shared clip captured a rooftop swimming pool violently shaking by forcing swimmers to seek safety.

The earthquake which hit on Friday, caused severe damage in both countries. In Bangkok, at least six people died, 26 were injured and also 47 were reported missing. Several under-construction buildings collapsed, trapping workers inside. The tremors were felt across Thailand from the capital to Chiang Mai.


One video showed a man sitting near a swimming pool while a couple enjoyed their swim. Suddenly the earthquake struck and the water surged like a massive wave, sending the swimmers scrambling for safety. Another clip depicted water from a rooftop pool spilling over the edges of a high-rise building.

French tourist Augustin Gus, who was shopping in a Bangkok mall, described his experience. “I just stepped out of the elevator when everything started shaking. At first, I thought it was me, but then I realized it was an earthquake,” he said.


The Airports of Thailand confirmed that operations at six airports, including those in Bangkok and Phuket, had resumed after safety inspections. Officials assured that the aviation infrastructure remained intact.

Earthquake:

In Myanmar, the situation was even more devastating. Over 1,000 people died, and more than 2,300 were injured. The quake, the strongest in a century, caused extensive damage in Mandalay, destroying homes and temples. Authorities reported that at least 2,300 buildings collapsed.

Rescue teams are working to locate missing persons and relief efforts are ongoing. The earthquake has left thousands homeless and caused significant damage to infrastructure. As the affected regions recover authorities continue to assess the full extent of the disaster.
