Begumpet Railway Station: Hyderabad, Begumpet Railway Station modernization work is progressing rapidly under the Amrit Bharat scheme. Union Minister Kishan Reddy posted on his X account that the work of this station is 90 percent complete. Better facilities, upgraded interiors, and spacious platforms will be available in Begumpet. Not only that, he also shared photos of the station. Along with Secunderabad and Hitech City, many stations in Telangana are also developing.

Not just Begumpet, The central government has decided to develop several key railway stations in Telangana. Important stations like Secunderabad, Malakpet, Mahabubnagar, Kamareddy, Nizamabad, Malkajgiri, Adilabad, Ramagundam, Karimnagar, Khammam are also included in this development list. Already, the development work of Secunderabad and Yadadri railway stations is also going on rapidly. Secunderabad railway station is being renovated in three phases at a total cost of Rs 718 crore.
Keeping in mind the needs of passengers for the next 40 years, this station is being developed on the lines of an airport. On the other hand, the development work of Hitech City Railway Station is also 80 percent complete. The construction of the entry ramp and foot over bridge has been completed there, and the construction of the station building complex, a wide foot over bridge, and the circulating area is progressing at a rapid pace. The foot over bridge being built with a width of 12 meters will be very convenient for passengers.
Also, high-tech lifts and escalators will also be available at Hitech City Station on the lines of Kacheguda and Secunderabad. South Central Railway officials said that the repair work of the platforms is also ongoing. Coming to Begumpet Railway Station, modernization work has been undertaken at an estimated cost of about Rs 38 crore under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. Currently, 90 percent of the work has been completed. The remaining 10 percent is also likely to be completed in the next few months. This means that this station will be fully accessible to passengers in the next five to six months. It was stated that this railway station will be developed on the lines of Cherlapalli Railway Station .
Minister Kishan Reddy expressed hope that this station will be ready to serve the people of Telangana with much better connectivity compared to what it was before. Many facilities like better passenger facilities, state-of-the-art interiors, spacious waiting halls, large platforms, easy-to-move circulation areas, lifts and escalators will be available at this station.
