Bengaluru Crime: Preliminary investigations suggest someone hid the body in a bag elsewhere and then threw it from a moving train. “The luggage appears to have been tossed from railway property, most likely from a moving train,” said Bengaluru Rural Superintendent of Police CK Baba in a media statement. “While such cases generally fall under the jurisdiction of the railway police, we are involved because the incident occurred in our area.” He also confirmed that authorities found no personal belongings or identification with the body, leaving the victim’s identity unknown at this stage.

Preliminary Findings:

He explained that while railway police typically handle such cases, local police joined the investigation because the incident occurred in their jurisdiction. Police Investigation:

Suryanagar police promptly reached the scene and conducted a preliminary examination. Once they arrive, the Baiyappanahalli railway police will take over the investigation. Authorities are actively reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas and coordinating with railway officials to track train movements during the suspected time of the incident. They have launched a detailed investigation to identify the victim and uncover the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.

This case follows a similar tragedy on May 12, when officials discovered the body of a 14-year-old deaf and mute tribal girl along the railway tracks in Ramanagara district. The incident reignited concerns about the safety of vulnerable children in the region.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar assured the public that the government would conduct a thorough investigation. After meeting the victim’s family, he said, “We must ensure justice, whether this is a case of revenge, abuse, or something else.” Authorities have vowed to identify and prosecute those responsible, as the community continues to demand answers.
