Mishra and her husband were riding a two-wheeler when they allegedly collided with Lokesh’s auto while switching lanes, triggering the altercation. Following the incident, Lokesh accused Mishra of assaulting him without provocation and filed a complaint at the Bellandur police station. Based on his statement, police registered an FIR against Mishra, a Bihar native currently residing in Bengaluru.
On Sunday, Mishra appeared for questioning and claimed that the auto driver’s inappropriate behavior triggered her reaction. A police officer confirmed that they recorded her version of events and may call her again as the investigation progresses.
Later that day, the case took a dramatic turn when a video surfaced showing Mishra apologizing to Lokesh. In the footage, she bows at his feet and expresses regret for her actions. “I’m expecting a child. I kept thinking, what if I miscarried?” she says emotionally in the video.

Several Kannada groups staged a protest outside the Bellandur police station after a video of the incident went viral, demanding strict action against the woman. Meanwhile, additional footage from the scene showed the woman, identified as Mishra, shouting in Hindi and hitting the auto driver. She yelled, “Banaega video? Chal bana video,” as the driver, Lokesh, recorded her actions.
During the confrontation, she also spoke on the phone and claimed, “He first ran over my foot and is now recording a video.” In response, Lokesh explained that he began recording because Mishra was speaking in Hindi instead of Kannada, the local language. Police later arrested Mishra on Sunday and confirmed that they released her on station bail shortly afterward.
