BharatPe Secures RBI License for Online Payment Aggregation

The RBI has granted BharatPe Group company Resilient Payments full authorization to function as an online payment aggregator. According to a BharatPe release, the authorization would enable Resilient to support a range of payment-related services, including transactions via its own payment gateway.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted Resilient Payments Pvt Ltd, a BharatPe Group firm, final authorization to function as an online payment aggregator, according to the statement. To serve high-growth industries, the firm intends to expand its presence in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, spread its payment solutions across a larger merchant base, and make investments in the construction of cutting-edge technological infrastructure.

According to the company, BharatPe Group is in a unique position to close the gap between offline and online commerce because of its extensive presence in the offline payment market and its network of millions of merchants.
