Big Relief for Employees: EPF Withdrawals via UPI Coming Soon

Big Relief for Employees: Every employee working in a company has an EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) account. A small part of the salary is saved in this account every month. The company adds an equal amount to the same account. After retirement, the employee gets a good amount of money from this fund. This helps them live a secure life.

Big Relief for Employees:
Employees can also take money from their EPF account in case of emergency. Earlier, this process used to take time. Now, the process is becoming faster. Soon, money can be withdrawn using UPI apps like PhonePe and Google Pay. This is a big relief for EPF users.

Before this change, employees had to apply for withdrawal. The request needed approval. If there were any mistakes, the request was rejected. Due to this delay, many people had to take loans. But with the new system, the money will come quickly.

EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation) is planning to introduce UPI based claims. This will help users receive money faster. The waiting time will be reduced. Reports say this new system may start from June this year.

EPF members can withdraw money not only for emergencies but also for building a house, education and marriage.

Sumita Dawra, Labour and Employment Secretary confirmed this update. She said the new method will be ready by the end of May or June. Once testing is complete, EPFO will launch the UPI based system. This will allow members to see their accounts through UPI apps and make instant claims.

Users can get money in just minutes or hours instead of 2–3 days. The automatic system will allow withdrawals up to ₹1 lakh without delay. This will benefit all members by making the process smooth and quick.

This upgrade is expected to bring big changes in how EPF claims are handled. It reduces paperwork saves time and gives people control over their money.
