The New Delhi stampede has now took the lives of 18 people, including three children. According to the reports, around 30 others are injured and families are searching for their missing loved ones.
In this scenario, a native from Bihar named Raj kumar Manjhi has come up with a very heart-wrenching revelation. Raj kumar stated that, he was supposed to board train with his wife and two children but, the tragic stampede killed his wife Shanti Devi and daughter Pooja. He mentioned that his son is now missing but he is alive.
Raj Kumar claims that, his son Avinash, was trapped by the stampede but somebody pulled him out and he is safe.
He, along with his family was about to board a train at platform number 7 when this tragic incident took place.
Another woman also said that a relative of the woman who was trapped in the stampede is missing. The woman was going to the Mahakumbh, but she didn’t have a ticket, according to the relative, Sheela. To find out more about her missing relative, Sheela went to the LNJP Hospital, where the victims were taken.
She claimed that after an abrupt announcement of a train approaching platform 14 caused the crowd to panic, rush, and crash causing a fatal accident.
The chaotic situation took place at the New Delhi railway station around 8 pm on February 16, 2025 at platform numbers 13,14 and 15.
The reason that led to this tragic situation was, when a sudden rush of passengers broke out, who were waiting to board trains to Prayagraj. The situation turned out to be like this as there was delay in two trains for Maha Kumbh.
Several videos have been now circulating on social media by showing the visuals of this heart-wrecking incident. Therefore,It is essential for the public to be aware of the threat which could be caused by rush.
