Bihar: More than 900 liquor bottles found in school van

Bihar News: According to the sources, on Saturday, a school vehicle was found to have a significant amount of imported liquor. The incident happened on Friday, March 21.

Police stopped the yellow Maximo minivan after receiving a tip, but the driver ran away and left the car behind. According to the report, officers searched the building and discovered 929 bottles of liquor concealed under the roof and chairs.

A complaint has been registered against the driver and owner of the van.

According to the statement given by Bihar police “A total of 319.125 liters of foreign liquor were seized from 01 school van during patrolling on 21.03.2025 and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused and further action is being taken.”

Previous Case:

Previously, there was an almost similar case in Hyderabad, where this entire school didn’t have students but was completely filled with booze bottles and cigarette stubs. This incident took place in Balreddy Nagar in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. This school was constructed by Rajiv Vidhya Mission; almost 43 lakhs were spent on its construction. But surprisingly, the government did not inaugurate this building.

This school has six classrooms and can easily accommodate around 200 to 300 students. According to the reports, all the classrooms were found with broken bottles, glasses, and cigarette buds. It is also reported that many switchboards and tube lights have gone missing when there was a raid. According to the sources, when the raid happened there were two men who were sleeping on the terrace, reportedly drunk.

This is not just in Bihar or Hyderabad, most of the places in India are facing this issue. According to the sources, in Madhya Pradesh a private school was sealed after liquor bottles and condoms were found in the principal’s room during sudden inspection. Not just this even more case where most of the people misuse government property. There were cases where students were found studying under the tree even though there was school building provided by the government.
