Bomb Threat in Begumpet Airport: Law enforcement agencies responded immediately to a bomb threat via email, which prompted security officers to initiate a high-alert operation at Hyderabad’s Begumpet Airport on Wednesday morning. The threat was detected early in the day, prompting the deployment of a bomb disposal squad and thorough inspections around the airport and its environs.

According to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Begumpet Division, “This morning, a bomb threat letter arrived at Begumpet Airport. With the bomb squad, we are now thoroughly searching the airport and its grounds. ACP Begumpet told the media that further information would be released later.

In order to manage the changing situation on the ground and coordinate safety measures, the airport authority activated its emergency response team. Since Begumpet presently manages non-commercial and VIP flights rather than routine passenger operations, flights were not immediately affected.
