According to the media sources, Leena Gandhi Tewari, the chairman of pharmaceutical behemoth USV Ltd., paid Rs 639 crore for two opulent duplex apartments with a view of the sea in Mumbai’s posh Worli neighborhood. In India, this is among the most expensive home purchases ever documented.
Apartment Location:
The apartments are situated on the 32nd through 35th floors of the recently built, 40-story luxury skyscraper, Naman Xana, which has a view of the Arabian Sea. The sum, which spans 22,572 square feet, is more than Rs 2.83 lakh per square foot, which is the highest amount ever paid for real estate in India.
In addition, Tewari paid more than Rs 63.9 crore in GST and stamp fees for the registration, making her total transaction more than Rs 700 crore.
