Deputy Collector Rama Dies in Andhra Pradesh: A tragic road accident occurred in Andhra Pradesh’s Annamayya district. Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi Project Special Deputy Collector Rama lost her life. The accident happened on the Pileru-Rayachoti highway. Two cars collided head on near Yerraguntla village. Four other people suffered serious injuries. They were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Deputy Collector Rama was traveling from Pileru to Rayachoti for an official event. Her car with registration number AP10BF 4990, crashed into another vehicle. The impact was severe which led to her instant death. The injured individuals were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. District Collector Sridhar visited them to check on their condition.
Officials confirmed that Rama worked as a coordinator for grievances at the Annamayya district collectorate. She was originally from Kalyandurg in Anantapur district.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep sorrow over her death. He called it an unfortunate incident and extended his sympathies to her family. He assured that the injured would receive the best medical care. He also instructed officials to provide assistance to Rama’s family.
Minister Nara Lokesh and Mandipalli Ramprasad also expressed their grief. They prayed for her soul’s peace. Minister Mandipalli spoke with District Collector Sridhar. He requested a complete accident report.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest overspeeding might be the reason. The police are analyzing CCTV footage and gathering witness statements. The district administration has urged drivers to follow road safety rules.
The sudden loss of a dedicated officer like Rama is a big blow to the administration. Her contribution to the Handri Neeva project was significant. Officials and colleagues remember her as a hardworking and sincere officer.
