Drunk Woman: Authorities say a violent and disruptive incident on a Southwest Airlines flight at LaGuardia Airport led to the arrest of a 32-year-old woman from New York City on charges of aggravated assault. According to the media sources, the passenger, identified as Leanna Perry, allegedly grew hostile just before takeoff on Tuesday and violently attacked a fellow traveler. According to the Port Authority Police Department (PAPD), Perry was taken into custody and subsequently moved to the New York City Department of Corrections after undergoing a medical examination at a local hospital.

A viral video on social media shows Perry screaming obscenities and grabbing another woman by the hair during an onboard altercation. Despite repeated pleas from passengers and crew, Perry continued her verbal and physical assault, kicking, cursing, and lashing out at multiple people. Even as airline staff restrained her with zip ties, she spat on a fellow traveler and hurled derogatory remarks.
Southwest Airlines confirmed that they removed the unruly passenger from the aircraft at New York’s LaGuardia Airport before takeoff. The airline stated that the woman, who appeared intoxicated and aggressive, was denied boarding. A company spokesperson said, “We applaud our crew members for handling the situation with professionalism.”

Police Investigation:
In a statement, the Port Authority confirmed that officers responded to Terminal B after receiving a report about an intoxicated person. This incident marks the latest in a growing series of passenger-related disruptions impacting international carriers. In a separate case, a fight broke out aboard a Shenzhen Airlines flight in China, causing a two-hour delay on April 1. According to media reports, a crew member sustained a bite wound on the arm while trying to break up the altercation between two passengers. The flight was en route from Shenzhen to Shanghai.
