Helicopter Crash: According to the Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA), a helicopter carrying seven persons crashed on Sunday morning while en route to Gaurikund in Uttarakhand.
The helicopter, carrying six people, five adults, one child, and the pilot, was traveling from Shri Kedarnath Dham to Guptkashi when it crashed near Gaurikund at approximately 5:20 in the morning.
According to Inspector General (Garhwal Range) Rajiv Swaroop, the crash scene was in a fairly isolated location. According to him, teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and police have hurried to the scene. The helicopter’s occupants are from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, according to UCADA.
“Very sad news has been received about a helicopter crash in Rudraprayag district,” Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on X. Relief and rescue efforts are being carried out by the SDRF, local government, and other rescue teams. I offer up a prayer to Baba Kedar for everyone’s safety.
