Hyderabad Fire Accident: 17 people died in a fire that broke out in Hyderabad’s old town, Mir Chowk, on Sunday morning. Seven people, including three children, were seriously injured in the incident that took place in a building near Gulzar House. The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment. Firefighters are carrying out rescue operations. Police suspect that the accident may have occurred due to a short circuit or gas leakage. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
A massive fire broke out in Hyderabad’s old town of Mir Chowk. 17 people died in the accident. The accident took place on Sunday morning in a building near Gulzar House. A total of four family members were trapped in the fire. There were a total of 30 members in the building. Rescue workers rescued 16 of them. As the fire spread rapidly, 10 people lost consciousness and fell there.
Firefighters and locals are trying hard to save some others who were trapped in the fire. The injured were taken to Osmania, Yashoda (Malakpet), DRDO and Apollo hospitals. It is said that three died on the spot. Thirteen people died while receiving treatment in the hospital. It is said that the condition of some others is critical. 14 ambulances reached the spot to provide immediate medical assistance to the victims. The deceased include four women, three men and three children. Union Minister Kishan Reddy visited the spot and spoke to the families of the victims. The deceased have been identified as Abhishek Modi (30), Aarushi Jain (17), Harshali Gupta (7), Sheetal Jain (37), Rajender Kumar (67), Sumitra (65), Munnibai (72) and Iraj (2). The identities of eight more deceased are yet to be known.
The police believe that the accident may have occurred due to an AC compressor exploding due to a short circuit. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The tragedy has cast a shadow of sadness over the old city. The family members of the deceased are in mourning. Due to the accident, the police have imposed traffic restrictions in the old city. Traffic is being diverted. The roads leading to Charminar have been closed. The police have warned that no one should come here in the current situation. People are panicking due to the frequent fire incidents in Hyderabad recently.
CM Revanth Reddy expressed shock over the fire that took place in the old city. The Chief Minister has instructed senior officials to take all necessary steps to save the families trapped in the fire. He is constantly inquiring about the actions being taken by the police and fire departments. He has issued orders to immediately shift the injured to hospitals and provide them with proper medical assistance. CM Revanth Reddy is investigating the causes of the accident. The CM assured the victims that he would stand by them. Minister Ponnam reached the scene of the incident and inquired about the reasons for the accident.
