Residents of Hyderabad are advised to prepare for scheduled power cuts on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, due to essential maintenance work. The Electricity Department has announced that several neighborhoods across the city will face temporary electricity outages at different times throughout the day.

In the Gautamnagar Substation area, electricity will be unavailable from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The affected localities include Indira Nehru Nagar, Gopal Nagar, Hanumanpet, Hilltop Colony, and Annapurna Society. Another round of outage will occur from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM in Uttamnagar, Gautamnagar, and Dayanand Nagar. Residents are requested to plan ahead and avoid any inconvenience.


In the Uppal Substation region, AE M. Nikhil informed that power supply will be interrupted for maintenance and trimming of tree branches. Between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, areas such as Annapurna Colony, Beerappagadda, Bharat Nagar, Srinagar, Kaveri Nagar, and Dharmapuri Colony will not have electricity. Later, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, areas under the Chilkanagar Feeder—including Ganesh Nagar, Seven Hills, Sairam Nagar, Srinivasa Heights, and Apoorva Heights—will experience power outages.

In the Azamabad Division of City-1, AE officers Nageshwar Rao and Vinod Kumar announced that power will be shut off from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Ahobil Mutt, Lakdikapul, Meera Theatre, and Himayatnagar. A second phase of the power cut will take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in DD Colony, Kapadia, and the areas surrounding the APPSC office.The electricity department has requested the cooperation of all consumers and urged them to make the necessary arrangements during these scheduled outages.
