Campaign against radiation leak in Kirana Hills

There is a campaign going on that Pakistan’s nuclear facilities were damaged in India’s Operation Sindoor and radiation is being released from them. Moreover, there are speculations that a team of experts from America has also reached Pakistan and reviewed the situation. Recently, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has responded to this campaign. It has been clarified that Pakistan’s nuclear facilities have not been destroyed and no radiation has been released. It is known that a story is going viral on social media that the Kirana Hills nuclear facility in Sargodha, Pakistan was damaged in the Indian missile attack.

India denies reports of leak

Indian Air Force Chief, Air Marshal A.K. Bharti also recently clarified that there was no Indian airstrike on Kirana Hills or any nuclear facility in Pakistan. “Thank you for the media’s report that there is a nuclear facility in Kirana Hills. We did not pay attention to such information. We did not strike there,” Bhatti said.

The Ministry of External Affairs has also denied the reports of radiation leakage. “Our military actions were within the conventional framework. There was a rumor that a meeting of the Pakistani National Command officials was being held, but Pakistan has officially denied it,” Foreign Secretary Randhir Jaiswal said in a press briefing on Wednesday. It is known that Pakistani air bases and radar stations were damaged in the Indian attack.

IAEA response

The IAEA has issued a statement to put an end to the false propaganda that radiation has been released. The IAEA has come forward to avoid panic after international analysts and international media reports came out about this. These rumors spread further after aircraft tracking platforms detected a US Department of Energy aircraft, which is usually deployed during nuclear accidents like Fukushima, operating near Pakistan.
