ICAI Big Update: CA Final Exams Now Thrice a Year from 2025

ICAI Big Update: Good news for CA students! The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made a major decision regarding CA Final exams. Starting from 2025, the exams will be conducted three times a year instead of two. This will give students more chances to pass the exams and complete their CA qualification faster.

Previously, ICAI had already introduced the three-exam cycle for Foundation and Intermediate courses. Now, the same rule applies to the Final level that ensures consistency across all CA levels.

ICAI’s Important Announcement

ICAI’s 26th Council made this historic decision to align CA exams with international standards. The institute wants to provide students with more flexibility and reduce long waiting periods between attempts.

From 2025 onwards, CA Final exams will be held in January, May and September every year. This change will help students to clear their exams faster and join the workforce sooner.

Apart from CA Final exams, ICAI has also updated the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit. Earlier, the assessment test for this course was held twice a year (June & December). Now, it will also be conducted three times a year—in February, June and October.

How This New ICAI’s Big Update Benefits Students

– More Exam Attempts – Students now have three chances every year instead of two.
– Faster Completion – Those who fail an exam won’t have to wait six months for the next attempt.
– Better Opportunities – More flexibility in planning exam preparation.
– Aligned with Global Standards – Many international professional courses already follow a multiple-exam schedule.

As we know,CA Final exam is one of the hardest exams in India. It requires intense preparation and the pass percentage is very low. ICAI’s decision will help the students to manage stress and thus increase their chances of success.

ICAI Update: This decision is seen as a student-friendly decision and is expected to benefit thousands of aspirants across India.
