Indian Defence Chief Warns Pakistan’s GHQ Move on Military Range

In a blanket assertion, Lt Gen Sumer Ivan D’Cunha asserted that India’s armed forces weapons can reach targets across the entire depth of Pakistan. His assertion was put forward against the backdrop of speculations on a possible shifting of Pakistan’s Army GHQ from Rawalpindi to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Indian Defence Chief warns Pakistan’s GHQ Move on Military Range.

India’s Defence Chief Warns Pakistan:

Lt Gen D’Cunha reaffirmed that India has also created weapon systems such as long-range drones and guided ordnance. Which allow it to strike deep in the enemy’s territory with precision. He also stated that even if Pakistan shifts its GHQ, it will remain within India’s reach.

Operation Sindoor and Recent Strikes
His assertion follows Operation Sindoor, a recent Indian military operation during which Indian troops struck major Pakistani airbases with loitering munitions. Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s precision ability to neutralize high-value targets.

Pakistan’s Drone Offensive
Pakistan reportedly started 800 to 1,000 drones across the western border for four days. Indian troops, however, intercepted and destroyed all weaponized drones without causing civilian casualties.

Strategic Implications
Pakistan’s relocation of its GHQ has been considered as a step towards ensuring its command military. But Indian officials maintain that such an event would prove to be useless, as India’s target areas span the entire breadth of Pakistan.

Lt Gen D’Cunha’s remark confirms India’s state of military preparedness and its ability to counter threats effectively. With tensions remaining high, India’s defense and offensive postures continue to evolve and mold themselves, ensuring national security as a continuous priority.
