Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: In September 2025, just before the holidays, India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is expected to go into service. It transforms overnight rail travel in a way never seen before by fusing speed, comfort, and modern amenities. This eagerly awaited train service aims to emulate Vande Bharat’s semi-high-speed fleet’s long-distance success.
Railway Announcement on Vande Bharat:
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Sunday during a function in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, that the nation’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train would start service in September 2025. Vaishnaw stated that Vande Sleeper would arrive in September. This milestone signifies the next stage of Indian Railways’ modernization, following earlier innovations like the Namo Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Vande Bharat Express services.
The Rewa–Pune Express, the Bhavnagar Terminus–Ayodhya Cantt Express, and a new train that would link Jabalpur and Raipur are the three further new train services that Vaishnaw has announced.
