Speeding Up Indiramma Housing Scheme

The government is giving priority to Indiramma house construction. Officials are working to complete the houses quickly. In Karimnagar, a model Indiramma house has been built. It includes a single bedroom, hall, kitchen and bathrooms. The model house is helping beneficiaries understand the structure. The government is planning to launch these houses soon. The state has approved 3,500 Indiramma houses for each assembly constituency. Under the pilot project, every district will select one village. The government will construct houses for all homeless families in that village. Many villages have already begun construction. Some houses have reached the lintel level. In Karimnagar, officials received 1,48,471 applications for these houses.

Since all applicants cannot get houses at once, the government is allotting them in phases. In the first phase 2,027 houses have been sanctioned in 15 villages across 15 mandals of Karimnagar. Officials are working to complete these houses soon.

Building a house for five lakh rupees is difficult due to rising costs. Officials have expressed concerns about this. But the government is determined to make the Indiramma housing scheme successful. Each house will include essential facilities. Karimnagar housing department official Gangadhar assured that the project is progressing. This will be more beneficial to lower and middle class people.

A model house is being built in every mandal to create awareness. The Karimnagar Collectorate model house will be inaugurated in 15 days. Officials believe this scheme is a blessing for the poor.
