Influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi Got Death Threats Before Murder

Authorities discovered influencer Kamal Kaur, also known as Kanchan Kumari, dead in a car in Punjab on Wednesday. Last year, notorious gangster Arshdeep Singh Gill, also known as Arsh Dalla, had threatened to kill her. In an audio clip aired by the media, Arsh Dalla accused Kamal of corrupting Punjab’s youth. In Punjabi, he said, “I want to put across a message that Kamal Kaur also uploads a lot of rubbish.”

Death Threats Before Murder:

“We will murder her family to show they are destroying Punjab’s youth if she doesn’t stop. Losing one family in Punjab won’t make a difference,” he warned.

Police said they discovered the influencer’s body in an abandoned car parked in the Bathinda region of Punjab on Thursday. She had been missing since June 9. The 30-year-old, popularly known as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, ran the “Funny Bhabhi” YouTube channel with 2.36 lakh subscribers and had 3.84 lakh followers on Instagram. Originally from Ludhiana, Kamal left home on June 9 to attend a promotional event, according to police. Her family lost contact with her after that.

Residents alerted authorities after noticing a foul smell coming from a car parked near Bathinda’s Adesh University. When police arrived and checked the vehicle, they found her body in the back seat.

Arsh Dalla Into Custody:

Canadian authorities detained Arsh Dalla in November last year. Officials consider him the de facto leader of the Khalistan Tiger Force. Authorities have charged him with over fifty murder cases and terrorist activities, including financing terrorism.

In a formal announcement last year, the Ministry of External Affairs declared him an individual terrorist in 2023 and requested that Canada arrest him. Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Indian agencies would follow up with an extradition request. He added that, given Dalla’s criminal history in India and his continued involvement in illegal activities in Canada, India expected his extradition or deportation to face justice. However, since the November 14 statement, officials have released few updates.
