Paras Bajaj underwent a life-altering change at 18. He had finally opened his dream gym, only to be diagnosed with cancer by the doctors. From a Young Age Paras had a love for fitness.
Paras longed to drop out of school in the 12th grade, he loved fitness far more than academics, so he went to Delhi and found his way to a fitness academy. What he learnt was that fitness is far more than appearance. Fitness is about being disciplined, having purpose, and believing in yourself.
A Ray of Hope
On April 30, 2024 and after surgery in Chandigarh, Paras received some crucial news from the doctors. They proclaimed he was cancer-free. Those words gave him another lease on life. He felt like he could battle again.
Back to the Gym
Despite being physically weak, he started going back to the gym again. Only 45 days post- surgery he was back to training. He started with the smallest weights and worked his way up, he did not rush he built his strength back slowly.
Inspiring Message
In an interview with Humans of Bombay Paras shouted, “Cancer didn’t take my dream. It made me stronger.” He also followed that with, “Scars remind me I survived. Over time everything changes, but a strong will can rebuild anything.”

His post went viral, and was shared thousands of times. Many comments complimented and indicated his courage other showed their support.
One poster wrote, “Your struggle and victory represent inspiration for us all, best”. Another said, “Life tested you but you did fight back”. Another said, “So proud of you! Keep growing”. Another person called it “Extraordinary determination”.
Paras has proven that strength is not only physical. Mental strength is even more important. Paras showed that you can rise from the ashes, even after the darkest days there is always hope.
