Namo Bharat AC trains, which were formerly referred to as Vande Metro, are next-generation air-conditioned train sets that were initially intended for inter-city, short-distance travel. The. Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains have been engineered especially for suburban and short-distance travel with high-frequency, punctual operations. The new train fleet will consist of 16 to 20 coaches, newer replacements for the old train models with enhanced acceleration speed, better seating arrangement, and better onboard facilities.
