Jeff Bezos: The first all-female spaceflight in over 60 years was accomplished on Monday when pop diva Katy Perry and five other women successfully returned to Earth after launching into space on a Blue Origin rocket.
According to the media sources, the space company founded by billionaire Jeff Bezos, the crew took off from West Texas at 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT) and flew to the edge of space, where they briefly experienced weightlessness, before landing back on Earth after an approximately 11-minute flight.
Bezos’ New Shepard launch vehicle, designed for space tourism, had a high-profile success with the spaceflight.

When Lauren Sanchez emerged from the capsule after landing back on Earth, Bezos was spotted hugging her. Since Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman in space, orbited the planet for over three days in 1963, this was the first all-female spaceflight.

Cost for Travelling to Space:
The average price of a seat on one of Blue Origin’s rockets is not disclosed. According to the company’s website, prospective passengers must pay a refundable deposit of $150,000 to begin the “order process.”
The corporation disclosed in 2021 that $28 million was the highest bid for a seat on its New Shepard spacecraft. Actor William Shatner of “Star Trek” was a guest of Blue Origin that year and received a complimentary flight. According to the media reports, in 2018 the company planned to charge paasengers atleast $200,000 for a trip. The company is planning to reduce costs and make the cost of access to space easy. They are designing their flights in that way for reusability.
