Key update on Telangana ration cards from June

Telangana ration cards: The people of Telangana are eagerly waiting for ration cards. In this regard, the Congress government is ready to sanction ration cards. Applications for new ration cards have already been accepted through Praja palana. In this regard, the government has revealed a key update on ration cards. It is ready to start the work from the first week of June.

Many people are still applying for new ration cards. Those who have already applied are waiting to see when the new cards will be issued. People are expressing impatience as the scrutiny of applications has not even started. In this context, a key update has come to light. A senior official of the Civil Supplies Department has clarified that the verification of applications for new ration cards related to Hyderabad will start in the first week of June. He said that due to the large number of applications, it has become an obstacle to the scrutiny.

Why the delay in Telangana ration cards?

Currently, there are a total of 6,39,451 ration cards in the nine circles of Hyderabad city. Recently, about 4 lakh people have applied for new ration cards. However, officials said that many people are applying 2 or 3 times. They revealed that they are still applying through the Baldia, Collectorate Prajavani, and this service. Officials revealed that there are currently not enough staff in the CRO area to examine the applications in lakhs. That is why they have written letters to the Revenue and Baldia asking for additional staff.

Officials say that staff from other departments are likely to arrive on deputation at the end of this month. Once they arrive, verification of ration cards and house-to-house inspections will begin from the first week of June. They said that the issuance of new cards will start after the identification of eligible persons . Until the arrival of additional staff, the officials revealed that the program of adding new members, removing deceased and ineligible members is being carried out at the current pace. On the other hand, there is no deadline for applying for ration cards. Officials revealed that this will continue as a continuous process.
