Man Eats Chicken at ISKCON London, Sparks Outrage

Chicken at ISKCON London: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Govinda restaurant in London is a vegetarian place, but a video of a man eating fried chicken there has caused a lot of online criticism. The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows a man who appears to be of African-British heritage asking if meat was served at Govinda, ISKCON’s popular vegetarian restaurant.

He grabbed a bucket of KFC chicken and started eating it inside the restaurant when the staff told him there was no meat, onion, or garlic available.

In the video, he inquires, “Hey, is this a vegan restaurant?” “Yes,” a staff worker replies. “So, there’s no meat, nothing here?” he asks again. Her response is, “No meat.” Not an onion. Don’t use garlic. Shortly afterward, he offers the chicken to the employees and other customers while simultaneously opening the package and beginning to devour it. “Excuse me, what you are doing is violating the rules of this place, and it is not fair,” says a customer as he approaches him. But the man keeps up his disruptive behavior until security arrives, at which point he is taken off the property.

Netizens Reaction:

Social media users slammed the incident and questioned whether the man deliberately tried to offend religious beliefs or acted out of racial motivation. IndiaToday.in has not verified the video’s date, location, or authenticity. “I hope someone reported this to the local police station. This action clearly shows hatred toward Hindus, whether or not the authorities can arrest him. He did this because he knows Hindus won’t retaliate,” one user wrote.

Another person pointed out, “No restaurant allows outside food. Bringing meat into ISKCON not only disrespects the place but also attacks the values we hold dear. Authorities must act to preserve its sacredness.” One user strongly criticized the act, stating, “He deliberately violated a cultural and religious norm. His behavior openly displayed intolerance, which no civilized society should accept.”
