Shihan Hussaini, a well-known karate master, archery coach, and actor, died on March 25 in Chennai following a brave fight against leukemia, a kind of blood disease. Before the last ceremonies in Madurai, his family invited admirers and students to pay their respects at his home in Besant Nagar, confirming the news on Facebook.
Hussaini’s accomplishments in martial arts and film were praised. Starting with K. Balachander’s ‘Punnagai Mannan’ in 1986, he went on to play a karate coach in Vijay’s ‘Badri’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Velaikaran’. ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’ and ‘Chennai City Gangsters’ were among his latest roles. He was a well-respected judge and reality show presenter in addition to being an actor.
He has trained more than 400 archers and is experienced in modern archery in Tamil Nadu. He is one of the people who introduced the recurve bow in 1979 and the compound bow in 1980. This has a strong impact on the sports development in the state.
Due to Hussaini’s candid social media documentation of his cancer journey, the Tamil Nadu government was able to provide Rs 5 lakh in financial assistance for his treatment. He declared that he would give his body to medical study. He had also hoped that his students in archery and karate would inherit his heart.
His family asked that archers and students honor him by shooting arrows and reciting katas.
Even though Shihan Hussaini passed away too soon, his contributions to martial arts and film will always be remembered as evidence of his perseverance and commitment. Shihan Hussaini’s daughter and wife survive him. Hussaini trained Pawan Kalyan in Karate. During his fight against cancer, he requested Pawan Kalyan to buy his martial arts center to continue his legacy. According to the sources, Pawan Kalyan was his favorite student and they both spent lots of time in the training process.
After hearing this news, Actor Pawan Kalyan shared his condolences to him. He shared his condolences on his official twitter handle. According to the statement given by Pawan Kalyan he was supposed to visit him on 29th but sadly this couldn’t happen. He said that Hussaini saw Pawan Kalyan’s one of his interviews before he died.
Additionally he said, “The discipline and skills I learned under his guidance shaped me both physically and mentally. His intense training instilled in me the courage and determination that continue to guide me. His legacy in martial arts archery and in fine arts will always be remembered. His contributions to martial arts and archery will be remembered forever, and his teachings will inspire the future. My heartfelt condolences to his family and my fellow students and to my other senior Senseis.”
Pawan Kalyan shared his tweet with heartfelt emotions in this. Lastly, he said, “One final ‘Hoyz’ to my dear respected Shihan . Drops of tears rolling down with a lump in my throat and deep pain in my heart, as I write this… May his ‘Warrior spirit rests in universal Spirit.”
