Mega Recruitment Drive: The Telangana government is working on providing job opportunities for the youth. IT and Municipal Administration Minister Sridhar Babu announced that the government will fill 2 lakh jobs in phases. It also plans to set up a Skill Development Center in every district to boost employment and drive economic growth.
While attending a Mega Job Fair in Parakala, Hanamkonda district, Sridhar Babu said the government is identifying vacancies across departments and will carry out recruitment in stages. He noted that the state has around 25 to 30 lakh unemployed youth. Attracting industries and investments to Telangana, he added, will help create lakhs of jobs.
The government has already established a Skill University in Hyderabad and will launch Skill Development Centers across all districts to provide training and enhance employability.
Addressing concerns about Hyderabad’s industrial development, Sridhar Babu criticized those opposing the industrial corridor online. He questioned their silence when authorities removed ancient trees at Azam Jahi Mills Ground, calling out their selective outrage.
He stated that development should continue without unnecessary hurdles.He urged critics to support projects that generate jobs. A Digital Employment Exchange has already created over 57,000 jobs.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is focusing on the development of Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in Warangal. Minister Sridhar Babu attended a review meeting on the park’s progress. He stressed that local people will get job priority. Skill training centers will train them for employment.
The government has also planned a Rajiv Gandhi Township for 863 farmers who gave land for the park. Officials received instructions to start building Indiramma houses in the township.
Warangal Collector Satya Sharada updated the minister on the infrastructure projects in the park.The government has completed BT roads and finalized tenders for stormwater drains and other works. Under the MSME GDP scheme, it allocated ₹10.10 crore for roads, drains, water supply, and administrative buildings. Authorities plan to finish these projects by July 2025. To prevent monsoon flooding, engineers will redesign the drainage system. The government will also set up a health center, veterinary hospital, and primary school in the R&R colony. Officials may build a community hall as well.
