Navi Mumbai Airport: The planned Navi Mumbai airport may charge a user development fee of up to Rs 1,225 on an as-needed basis, according to regulator AERA. Navi Mumbai International Airport Ltd. is in charge of developing the airport (NMIAL).

The User Development Fee (UDF) for passengers departing from the airport, which is scheduled to open later this year, would cost Rs 620 for domestic flights and Rs 1,225 for foreign flights.

According to AERA’s 42-page regulation, the UDF for passengers disembarking will be Rs 270 and Rs 525 for domestic and international flights, respectively. Ad hoc approval of the UDF costs has been granted for the fiscal year 2025–2026.

According to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA), it has been agreed to permit the imposition of ad hoc UDF as a stopgap solution until March 31, 2026, or until the regular tariff is finalized, whichever comes first. “The revenue to be collected by NMIAL on an ad-hoc basis in the interim period shall be accounted for by the authority during the regular tariff determination exercise of NMIA,” the decision stated.
