NPCIL Recruitment 2025: No Exam, Based On GATE Score

NPCIL Recruitment 2025: Applications are being accepted for Executive Trainee positions in a number of disciplines at the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), a public sector organization under the jurisdiction of the Indian government. Without taking a written test, anyone having an engineering degree and a qualifying GATE score can obtain government employment. The application is under review on the official website and will continue until April 30. The last date for the application fee payment is also April 30.


Vacancy Posts in 2025:

According to the official report, nearly 400 Executive Trainee positions are open across major engineering streams. The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) announced 400 vacancies for Executive Trainees in various engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineering leads with 150 openings, followed by Electrical with 80 and Chemical with 60. Electronics and Civil each offer 45 positions, while Instrumentation has 20. This recruitment drive presents a valuable opportunity for engineering graduates aiming to build a career in the nuclear energy sector.


Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have gained at least 60% of the possible points in a five-year integrated MTech program or BE, BTech, or BSc (Engineering) from an accredited university to be eligible. A valid GATE score from 2023, 2024, or 2025 is also required. It is recommended that candidates consult the official notification for comprehensive qualifying requirements.

Age Limit:
The age limit for NPCIL Executive Trainee recruitment varies by category: candidates from the General and EWS categories must be 26 years or younger, while the upper age limit is 29 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and 31 years for SC/ST candidates. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹74,000 during the training period, along with applicable allowances as per NPCIL norms.

Additionally, a one-time book allowance of Rs 30,000 will be given. Candidates will be hired as Scientific Officers (Group C) with a starting salary of Rs 56,100 per month and additional incentives after successfully completing training.

Selection Process:
The selection process for NPCIL Executive Trainee recruitment will be based on GATE scores, followed by a personal interview. To qualify, candidates from the unreserved category must score a minimum of 70% in the interview. Reserved category candidates, including EWS, SC, ST, OBC-NCL, and PwBD, need to secure at least 60% marks to be considered for final selection.

Interview Process:
The personal interviews for shortlisted candidates are tentatively scheduled to take place from June 9 to June 21. Interviews will be conducted at four locations across India: Anushaktinagar in Mumbai (Maharashtra), Narora Atomic Power Station (NAPS) in Uttar Pradesh, Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) in Tamil Nadu, and Kaiga Generating Station (KGS) in Karnataka.

Application Fees:
A non-refundable application fee of Rs 500 must be paid by male candidates who fall under the General, EWS, or OBC (NCL) categories.
