Pakistan Denies Ceasefire Violation Post Jammu attacks, Atta Tarar

Following reports of ceasefire violations along the India-Pakistan border, Pakistan Denies Ceasefire Violation, Information Minister Atta Tarar has denied any wrongdoing, claiming that Islamabad remains committed to maintaining peace. His statement comes amid heightened tensions after explosions and drone activity were reported in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan’s Official Response
Atta Tarar addressed the media, stating that Pakistan has not violated the ceasefire agreement and remains committed to regional stability. He accused India of spreading misinformation and insisted that Pakistani forces have exercised restraint despite provocations.

Pakistan Denies Ceasefire Violation

Indian officials have accused Pakistan of breaching the ceasefire within hours of its implementation. Reports indicate that Pakistani drones were intercepted over Jammu and Srinagar, triggering air defense responses. Additionally, shelling was reported in multiple sectors along the Line of Control (LoC), leading to casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.

Previous Incidents: Pahalgam Attack and Operation Sindoor
The current tensions stem from the Pahalgam terror attack, where 26 civilians were killed by Pakistan-backed militants. In response, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting nine key terror infrastructure sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation was designed to dismantle terror networks while avoiding direct military escalation.

International Reactions
The ceasefire dispute has drawn global attention, with the United Nations and several world leaders urging both nations to de-escalate tensions. The United States, which played a role in brokering the ceasefire, has called for diplomatic dialogue to resolve the conflict.

Despite Pakistan’s denial, the situation remains volatile, with both nations maintaining a strong defensive posture. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing, but the risk of further escalation persists.
