Pakistan has been using a doctored picture to falsely display its naval readiness against India. During a press conference in Islamabad, top-level Pakistani military commanders displayed a picture. Which purported to show the live deployment of Pakistan’s naval fleet, including a submarine, two warships, and three aircraft. But fact-checkers quickly established that Pakistan photoshops Submarine, It was originally shot from 2023. It was in a joint Pakistan-China naval exercise, and had no submarine included.

The original picture, which was taken during a Pakistan-China naval drill, showed a formation of Chinese and Pakistani warships with three Lockheed Martin P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft passing overhead. But in the doctored photo, somehow a submarine was included. Which gave the impression that Pakistan had elevated its naval capability.

Pakistan’s False Naval Strength Claims

During the briefing, Vice Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz, the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, and Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, Director General of Public Relations in the Pakistan Air Force, attempted to display Pakistan’s air, land, and sea capabilities in response to tension with India. The manipulated image was utilised as proof of Pakistan’s readiness to act but was quickly refuted by fact-checkers and defense analysts.

India’s Response & Global Reactions

India has also rejected Pakistan’s claims, defence analysts viewing them as a last-resort exercise in disinformation. India’s Press Information Bureau fact-checking division has again and again disproven Pakistan’s inundation with spurious reporting. Including the earlier claims that the Indian army’s bases are being targeted, which were discredited by satellite photos as well.

Pakistan’s doctored navy picture has made the entire world laugh, raising doubts regarding its authenticity as a military nation. As tensions between Pakistan and India increase, all these techniques of misinformation are only serving to lower Pakistan’s position on the global map.
