Parking Dispute Resulted in Hyderabad Realtor Death

Parking Dispute: A 45-year-old real estate entrepreneur was killed in a dispute that started over a small parking problem at a Kothapet apartment complex. Only on Friday, when neighbors pressured officials for information, did the May 21 event come to light.

Police have charged the accused, Krishna Javvaji, with culpable homicide and are currently searching for him, as he remains at large. G. Nagi Reddy, the deceased, lived at New Vaishnavi Ruthika Apartments and served as the president of the residents’ welfare association. The incident began with a dispute over car parking between Nagi Reddy and Krishna, who is the son-in-law of another resident.

Police stated that the altercation began around 4:15 p.m. when Nagi Reddy’s car reportedly scraped Krishna’s parked vehicle. “There might have been a minor scrape because Nagi Reddy parked too close to Krishna’s car,” said Chaitanyapuri inspector G. Venkateshwara Rao. After parking, Nagi Reddy went up to his apartment. Krishna then sent the apartment watchman’s son to call him back down.

When Nagi Reddy came downstairs, the two got into a heated argument. “I stepped outside when I heard my husband arguing. I saw blood coming from his ear and a dark stain on his clothes. Soon, he began foaming at the mouth,” said his wife, Annapurna. “With help from our neighbors, we rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.”

Parking Dispute Ended up a Life:

She went to the police and accused Krishna of killing her husband through violent abuse. On the evening of May 21, Chaitanyapuri police registered a case against Krishna under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (culpable homicide not amounting to murder).

The inspector confirmed that CCTV footage captured a fight between the two men. “The accused and the victim physically fought. In the video, Krishna pushes Nagi Reddy, who falls to the ground but quickly gets back up. We will confirm the exact cause of death after receiving the postmortem report,” he added.

According to reports, Krishna visited the residence to see his expectant wife, who had been staying with her parents for the past month and a half. After the incident, Krishna left in his car. His in-laws also left the house, and no one has heard from them since.

“The accused and his family have switched off their phones. We don’t have specific details about the accused, but we believe his in-laws are from Rajahmundry,” the inspector said. He added that the police are actively working to track down and arrest the suspects.
