What better than marrying your loved one on Valentine’s Day? February 14, 2025, will remain special for Prateik Babbar, son of senior actor Raj Babbar and late actress Smita Patil, who married his long-time girlfriend Priya Banerjee at his residence. Prateik was already married to Sanya Sagar in 2019, but both parted ways in 2023. Surprisingly, his father, Raj Babbar was not invited to the wedding. Is something brewing in the family?

The couple’s marriage was held at the late actor Smita Patil’s house in Bandra, Mumbai in an intimate ceremony. Last year, on the same day, the couple made their relationship official and shared it on social media.

The couple broke the regular norms but kept it traditional by donning exquisite traditional attire. Pratiek’s unique attire, the classic sherwani
was designed by Tarun Tahiliani. Priya looked glorious in an ivory and gold lehenga weaved beautifully with threadwork and embroidery.

Prateik made his Bollywood debut with Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na and worked in popular films like Dum Maro Dum and Ekk Deewana Tha. With movies, web series, and TV, the actor is busy working. He will be seen in Dhoom Dhaam and Sikander soon.

Priya Banerjee was born and brought up in Canada. She contested in Miss World Canada 2011. She made her debut in a Telugu film but rose to fame after doing a few projects in the OTT space.

The couple met through mutual friends. Banerjee once revealed that it was love at first sight the they got connected instantly. She once said, “We both are a little private when it comes to stuff like this. You want to be spoken about your work, not your relationship. I think all actors like that. The moment you talk about relationships, the whole focus shifts there. We work so hard for people to talk about our work, and then suddenly they don’t want to know about that.”
It looks like there’s a rift in the family. Prateik didn’t invite his father Raj Babbar, stepbrother Arya Babbar, and sister Juhi. Whatever, Wishing the couple the best!
