Pune’s Longest Flyover: Pune is going to witness the city’s longest flyover. Preparations are going on in full speed, the inauguration is going to be soon. It is expected that the Pune Municipal Corporation(PMC) will open the longest flyover soon. As the exact dates are not yet released but netizens expect that this is going to be by this end of the month. It is reported that the overpass is going to be accessible to the public by the last week of April.
Pune’s Longest Flyover Connectivity:
The longest flyover in the city, which spans 2.12 km. This runs from Vithalwadi to Funtime Theater on Sinhagad Road. According to the sources, even though the flyover’s construction was completed last month, streetlight and signpost installation is still going on.
Official Inauguration:
The flyover’s official inauguration has missed its original date. After a recent two-wheeler inspection of the site, Pune Municipal Commissioner Rajendra Bhosale gave staff an eight-day deadline to complete the remaining work. People familiar with the matter say Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is expected to attend the event. However, officials have yet to announce the exact inauguration date.

Costing and Ongoing Developments:
The Pune flyover in focus is part of a larger ₹118 crore project that aims to build three flyovers along Sinhagad Road between Rajaram Bridge and Funtime Theater. Authorities opened the 650-meter Rajaram Bridge Chowk overpass earlier this year. Construction on the third flyover, now 70% complete, will connect Prakash Inamdar Chowk and Goyal Ganga Chowk. It is expected to finish within the next two months.
