Rain Alert for Telangana: Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials have revealed that it will rain in Telangana today. They said that there is a chance of rain in the state for the third consecutive day. To this extent, an alert has been issued for several districts. People have been advised to be alert as there is a possibility of heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds.
The weather in Telangana has completely changed. It has been raining in the state for the past two days. Untimely rains are falling in many districts across the state. Along with heavy gusty winds, hailstorms have razed crops in many places. The untimely rains have caused irreparable loss to farmers. Crops like lemon, sweet potato and mango have been severely damaged. However, the threat of rain has not yet left the state. IMD officials have revealed that there is currently a trough over Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They said that opposite winds are blowing in favor of it from the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, there is a chance of rain in Telangana today.
IMD said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rains in the state today. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 km per hour. Today, there is a possibility of rain here and there in Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy districts. To this extent, the people of the respective districts have been advised to be alert.
People should not stay outside as there is a chance of hailstorm in many places. Meteorological department officials have advised not to stay under trees as there is a chance of thunder and lightning along with rain. They said that there is a chance of similar weather till the 25th of this month. Meanwhile, temperatures in the state have decreased slightly due to the rains. Currently, the daytime temperature is 33 to 36 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of a decrease of 2 degrees during the rains. Due to clouds, there will be some relief from the sun, said officials of the Hyderabad Meteorological Center.
