Rain Alert for Telangana: Heavy rain and wind are lashing Telangana. It’s been reported that, untimely rains lashed many parts of the state on Friday. Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials have warned that rains will continue in many parts of the state today as well.
The weather in Telangana has changed suddenly. The sun has been scorching all day long. People have been shaken by record-breaking temperatures. However, on Friday, light to moderate rain fall took place in many places across Telangana. In some areas, hailstorms caused severe damage to the food supply. Meteorological department officials revealed that the highest rainfall of 2 centimeters was recorded in Mudhole in Nirmal district.
Strong gusty winds, thunder and lightning accompanied by hailstorms. Trees fell on the roads in many places. Heavy rain lashed Hyderabad city after midnight. All the roads in the city were flooded. The Meteorological Department has warned that hailstorms accompanied by strong winds will occur today as well. Officials of the Hyderabad Meteorological Center said that light to moderate rains are likely to occur at some places in Telangana. Thunderstorms and lightning will be accompanied by strong gusty winds at a speed of 40-50 kmph. Hailstorms are likely to occur at isolated places in Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Warangal, Hanamkonda and Jangaon districts. Officials have warned the people of these districts to be careful.
Adilabad, Komaram bheem Asifabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal districts are likely to experience thunder and lightning accompanied by strong gusty winds reaching a speed of 30-40 kmph. There is also a chance of lightning in some places. It is advised not to go out during the rain. The Meteorological Center officials are warning that those who go out for field work should not stay outside under trees.
