Rain Alert in Andhra Pradesh:


The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an important weather alert for Andhra Pradesh. A low-pressure system formed over the West Central and Southwest Bay of Bengal is causing varied weather conditions in different parts of the Telugu states.This system has already brought rainfall to some areas, and more showers will likely occur in the next three days.

Rain Alert in Andhra Pradesh:

As of Thursday morning, the low-pressure area remains in the same region and will likely move northwards within the next 12 hours.


A trough is extending from the West Central Bay to South Tamil Nadu at a height of 1.5 km above sea level, which is also influencing the weather.

Here’s the forecast for the next three days:

North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam:

– On Thursday and Friday, there will be light to moderate rain or thunderstorms in one or two places.

– Thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds (40–50 km/h) are likely.

– On Saturday, similar conditions will continue in some areas.

South Coastal Andhra Pradesh:

– Thursday and Friday will see light to moderate rainfall or thunderstorms in isolated areas.

– Winds with speeds up to 50 km/h and lightning are expected.

– Saturday will bring similar weather conditions.

Rayalaseema:

– Light to moderate rainfall is expected on Thursday and Friday in one or two areas.

– Thunderstorms with lightning and wind speeds of 30–40 km/h are likely.

– On Saturday, wind speeds may increase slightly to 40–50 km/h.

Temperature Forecast:

In Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, maximum temperatures may rise by 2 to 4°C in the next three days. In Rayalaseema, the temperature may rise by 2 to 3°C, but no major changes are expected after that.

The IMD advises people in the affected areas to stay alert and take precautions during thunderstorms and heavy winds. Stay indoors during lightning and avoid sheltering under trees or near electric poles.
