Despite the police constant efforts to control the law and order on Holi, crimes continues to take place. A youth in Rajasthan was killed on Holi.
An unfortunate incident happened in Ralwas village, Dausa district in Rajasthan on Holi. The incident took place on Thursday, 13 March, when three men, Ashok, Bablu, and Kaluram, forcibly tried applying colours on Hansraj. When Hansraj prevented them, they killed him. They kicked him in the stomach, whipped him with belts, and strangled him to death.
“Hansraj, a 25-year-old man, was preparing for competitive exams in the local library. Ashok, Bablu, and Kaluram forcibly tried to smear colours on him. When Hansraj stopped them, they kicked him and killed him”, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dinesh Agarwal said.
The villagers staged a protest along with the dead body till late at night on the highway demanding justice for Hansraj. Their demands included a government job for the family, 50-lakh compensation, and immediate arrest of the three accused. Upon police intervention and assurance, the family members and villagers took the body to perform rituals.
The Police is working day and night to control the hooligans but unfortunate events keep troubling them.
