The Telangana government launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme to support unemployed youth with self-employment loans. Over 15 lakh applications were received for the scheme. The application process ended on April 14.
Officials introduced a new feature for applicants. They can now check their application status online. The official website provides an option to view and download application details. Applicants must select their corporation, enter their application ID and Aadhaar number. The system then displays their details. Users can print or download a copy for reference.
Committees are currently reviewing the applications. At the mandal level, the committees will verify eligibility. These lists will be sent to district level committees for final approval. In urban areas, the Municipal Commissioner or Zonal Commissioner acts as the convenor. At the district level, the Collector serves as Chairman. The DRDA PD will act as convenor.
District committees will finalize the list of selected candidates. From June 2 to June 9, beneficiaries will receive approval letters. Each selected person will then attend orientation classes. These sessions last between 7 to 15 days. After orientation, units will be sanctioned.
Once the unit is set up, training will be provided. This training continues for 6 months to 1 year. It helps the youth operate and manage their business successfully. If any issues arise during implementation, the district level committee will review and resolve them.
The Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Scheme is seen as a major step to reduce unemployment. The program provides a clear path for youth to build a stable income. It focuses on empowering individuals and boosting local economic growth.
